The Independent Mars Helicopter

There have been many missions to Mars, most of which didn't succeed, and what comes with this new idea, a helicopter, isn't a great chance of success.
Lifting off has always been a major challenge with helicopters with long journeys such as this.
However, with fast spinning rotors, the air goes above the helicopter blades, causing an easy liftoff.
Lifting will be much harder on Mars because of how different the air density is.
Making the helicopter extremely light and autonomous will allow an easy liftoff in an atmosphere like Mars.'
If the helicopter is light and autonomous enough to stand the low air density of Mars' atmosphere, then it can handle surviving this mission.

The Vulnerability of a United Nation

The United States is one of the richest and most populated countries in the world.
However, there are three growing problems that can make this country the most vulnerable.
Firstly, the amount of natural disasters it is vulnerable to be attacked by is innumerable.
From hurricanes to tornadoes, an abundance of natural disasters can strike the States, destroying a greatly populated city or a small town by the shore.
In 2017, a wave of hurricanes had struck the US, causing terrible damage and destroying many homes and businesses.
However, a large population density can cause problems too.
Mass amounts of people need homes and with such infrastructure, problems can happen easily where the shelters fall apart, causing a problem in a specific city.
Finally, more people are living in metropolitan areas.
According to some experts, by the year of 2040, ten of the most populated metropolitan areas will have 6.7 million more people.
This may not seem bad, but these cities can be destroyed by national disasters, causing in many deaths.
Overall, the United States is a very powerful country, but the simplest of things like nature can destroy everything Americans have built.

The City Wildlife

Although it may seem nearly impossible for greatly populated cities to have wildlife among it, there are many forms of wildlife in cities that usually go unseen.
One example of city wildlife are bats.
Bats look for places that provide them food and shelter.
As long as they have those two things along with a place to sleep, they can be settled anywhere dark, even a closet.
Most people believed that bats would be mostly found in rural areas, like farms, but they live healthier in urban areas.
In fact, over six million bats in the United States and Canada died because of white-nose syndrome in the past ten years.
However, the population of bats in cities is also declining.
There are still more bats in cities than rural areas.
Another form of wildlife in the cities are coyotes.
The cities are more for human enjoyment, and so coyotes and wolves are attracted to these areas in the cities.
There are many more wild animals that are in the cities, but these were a few.

Ancient Meals

Although it is assumed that our American ancestors lived on a paleo diet, that is not the truth.
A study on a man whose body was recovered from a melting glacier showed that he had eaten bread and cooked meat.
Not all hunter-gatherers had the same meals; their meals solely depended on what was efficiently found, such as fruits or fish.
They didn't have any health problems either; some had plaque in their arteries among other problems.
All hunter-gatherers, depending on where they live, had different types of grains to eat.
They also had a variety of meat.
Even though many people believe that our ancestors had only one type of diet and try to follow it, the best thing to do is to stay active and eat healthy foods.

Drowning

People love to have fun with water, but there are many dangers to doing so.
Sharks, poison, waves, and last but not least, drowning.
It is very hard to tell the difference between someone who is drowning and someone who is doing tricks in the water.
When someone is drowning, they do not flail their arms or move their in contrast to swimming or paddling.
To prevent drowning, it is best to have supervision when children are in a pool.
These were a few things you could do to prevent deaths and drowning. Source: PopSci

It’s Dinner Time!

The time that you take your dinner can contemplate your risk of getting cancer.
The earlier you have dinner, the healthier you are and the longer you live.
A research was done in Spain that studied when people with prostate and breast cancer had dinner and went to sleep.
Studies showed that people who ate early or waited at least two hours before going to bed had a 26% lower risk of getting prostate cancer and a 16% lower risk of getting breast cancer.
Even though it has been proven that eating early can reduce the risk of cancer, scientists have not found a reason why.
There are many factors that may affect this, such as genetics and geographical location.
Each place in the world has a different average dinner time.
So, with all these factors, it is still unclear why this is true, but it has been proven accurate. Source: PopSci

Cool Dogs, Cool Owners

All dog owners know that their dogs should be kept as cool as possible during the summer, and here are some ways how.
Dogs can easily die of heatstroke when temperatures soar above eighty degrees.
Panting is the dog’s instinctive solution, but that does not always work.
Keeping your dog at home with a cool environment is very safe for your dog, but when it wants to go outside, it’s best to take precautions.
When going outside, it’s best to go early in the mornings and evenings.
Never leave your dog in a car or outside in the middle of the day.
Using these tips, your dog should be safe and sound in the blazing heat of the summer. Source: PopSci

Beauty Dilemmas

For many years, women have used a variety of different products to make themselves beautiful.
Potions, creams, gels, and more commonly nowadays, pills are used to enhance a woman's natural beauty.
Dermatologists wonder why so many women have decided to take pills.
These pills are said to have vital nutrients for the hair and skin that is easily consumed through a pill rather than other forms of treatment.
The creators of a variety of pills say that they have many nutrients that work effectively to make a woman's beauty increase.
Even though the creators of these pills say they work, it is still not proven if they do work, or if it is a placebo effect.

Alcohol use has many negative effects also; it can lead to many cancers and cause alcohol use disorder.
In addition, variations of race also have different reactions to alcohol.

Exercising

Most Americans are not active; other than working and running errands, Americans as a whole don't exercise that much.
According to the Centers of Disease Control, only 23% of Americans get the recommended amount of exercising for adults daily.
According to a few graphs, western states have the most physically fit people where the southeastern states have the least physically fit people on average.
The lower a family household's income is, the less exercise they tend to get, especially people who earn 400% of the poverty level or less.
Women also tend to exercise less than men; about half of the female population in America gets aerobic exercise but not muscle exercise due to a lack of self-efficacy.
Men also have more role models when it comes to physical health and tend to participate more in physical activities.
Overall, everyone should try their best to exercise at least a little daily. Source: PopSci
